This position is responsible for all financial operations of the law firm including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and providing analysis. The position will oversee the billing and accounting systems.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably within the legal industry.
3. Strong knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
4. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
5. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
6. Ability to strategize and solve problems.
7. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
8. Excellent communication and people skills.
9. An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.

Job Details
- General ledger, collections, financial reporting, fixed assets and accounts payable.
- Prepare and review financial statements and manage budgets and forecasts as presented to the Board of Directors, Shareholders and financial institutions.
Cash flow management.
- Coordinate the annual financial review with outside CPA's.
- Reconciliation of accounts and budgets.
- Analysis of results versus budget.
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls to mitigate risk and analyzing financial date to assist in firm wide risk management.
- Management of the firm's accounting, billing, and timekeeping software; Aderant.
- Management of Finance team that includes the Accounting and Billing departments, including direct and indirect reports. Offers training and development opportunities and fosters collaborative departmental culture.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision making at the management level to enhance profitability and efficiency with the firm.
- Administration of the firm 401(k) plan.
- Provide financial data to respond to RFP's, surveys, insurance applications, etc.
- Advisory member on the Finance Committee, Retirement Committee, and Healthcare Committee.
- Enforces accounting and department policies and procedures.
- Maintain focus on continuous improvement through research and source innovative, efficient, cost-effective business solutions by looking beyond the status quo.
