Join our client’s dynamic team as a Statutory Controller. Become a key player in the financial operations of a highly regarded Birmingham Insurance company. We are in search of a meticulous and dedicated professional to join our client’s team within the Greater Birmingham area.

Competitive salary range: $120K-$130Kper year
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements and preparation of quarterly and annual statutory filings.
- Responsible for month-end close.
- Ensure the readiness of quarterly premium tax filings.
- Responsible for keeping all statutory reporting and statutory forecasting current.
- Responsible for ensuring cash flow is optimum at all times.
- Responsible for statutory compliance laws and company policies.
- Guide, train, and groom a staff of 3 accounting personnel in statutory accounting.
What You Need to Be Considered:
- B.S. in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of Statutory accounting experience.
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience. (preferred)
- Advanced in Excel, Pivot Tables, V-Lookups,
- Strong understanding and knowledge of statutory GAAP.
