We are currently on the hunt for a seasoned Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of our financial operations and lead our company towards sustainable financial growth. As a Permanent Controller, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget preparation, financial risk management, and the development of financial strategies. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and has a deep understanding of the Automotive Industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all company accounts and investments.
2. Develop and implement financial strategies, financial planning, budgeting, and profitability analyses.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
6. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
7. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
8. Provide leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
9. Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
10. Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, the introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory actions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
2. 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience with a strong understanding of the Automotive Industry.
3. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
4. Advanced knowledge of accounting and financial management principles and regulations.
5. Proficient in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
6. Experience with creating financial statements and financial reporting.
7. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
8. Strong analytical skills and experience with financial and statistical data analysis.
9. Proven ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
10. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
