We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Controller to join our team in the Finance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations and providing strategic guidance to the senior management. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, growing organization that values innovation, creativity, and performance. This role is ideal for someone who is seeking a challenging, hands-on role within a dynamic and progressive business environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cash Flow Management, and Tax Preparation.
2. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
3. Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements, identifying monetary resources, and developing action plans.
4. Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
5. Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
6. Lead the budgeting and forecasting initiatives and manage all aspects of financial planning.
7. Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
8. Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
9. Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.
10. Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization financial documents.
11. Collaborate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master's degree or CPA is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
3. MUST have knowledge and experience with Netsuite software to handle accounting, finance, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Must be a Texas resident
5. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
6. Proficient in financial analysis, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
7. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
8. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
9. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
11. Experience with ERP systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
12. Strong understanding of business strategy and ability to interact with and influence higher levels of management.
13. Exceptional negotiation skills and experience with contract management.
14. Experience in managing intercompany transactions and processes.
15. Proven track record of process improvement and business process improvement initiatives.
