Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 per year
A bit about us:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Controller to join our team in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations. This includes direct responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, financial modeling, finance, cost accounting, and WIP reports. The Controller will be instrumental in providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the company.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
5. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
6. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
7. Provide financial modeling and analysis to support strategic initiatives.
8. Monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the organization’s financial status.
9. Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.
10. Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
11. Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
12. Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.
13. Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Engineering industry.
3. Proven working experience as a Financial controller with a strong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, financial modeling, finance, forecasting, cost accounting, and WIP reports.
4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
5. Experience with creating financial statements.
6. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Impeccable analytical and organizational skills.
9. Self-motivated and self-directed.
10. Ability to work closely with a senior management team.
