Controller at Wilson Company

The Controller will play a pivotal role in Wilson’s financial management and reporting processes. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership, financial expertise, and the ability to provide strategic insights to senior leadership.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Initially manage a small team of accounting professionals, fostering and supporting a collaborative, accountable, and professional culture.
• Produce all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, maintain the general ledger, and manage monthly financial close process.
• Calculate monthly commissions, quarterly incentives, and manage company rebate programs.
• Work closely with CFO in development and management of annual budget; provide financial forecasting and modeling to support strategic planning and decision making.
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
• Propose strategic cost-saving initiatives and process enhancements to optimize financial performance.
• Monitor and interpret key financial metrics and KPIs, delivering insightful recommendations for action.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Coordinate & lead internal and external financial audits.
• Collaborate with the CEO to manage and optimize the ERP system, ensuring it effectively supports business operations by understanding its functionality, leveraging its data to drive informed decision-making, and ensuring seamless integration with key processes across the organization.
• Support mergers and acquisitions through integrating new systems, aligning ERP processes, and ensuring smooth data migration and operational continuity throughout the transition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
