Controller, Accounting - The PCA Group

Created 36 years ago, the PCA Group of Companies (PCA) is a privately-owned, global beauty holding company. Currently being led by the founders and the next generation of the family, the Group spans ~1500 employees in 5 geographic locations around the world, focused on omnichannel distribution and fulfillment for the beauty category. Multiple subsidiaries with a distinct leadership, business direction, and separate financial structure.

The Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), general ledger (GL), counsel, inventory analysis, and revenue recognition. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the financial health of the organization by managing budgeting, forecasting, regulatory reporting, and compliance with accounting principles and tax laws. The Controller will work closely with multiple entities and be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, implementing strong internal controls, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. You will also be overseeing junior accounting employees in partnership with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Inventory Analysis and Revenue Recognition
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Support Multiple Entities month end Closing and ensure periodic bank reconciliation are completed
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with Sales tax reporting and sales tax filings for US and International
• Manage multiple entities
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Knowledge/experience working with Finance Reporting tool/model
• Additional controller duties as necessary
• Coach Junior members of the accounting team

Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
• Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis
• Ability to work in person at our Ronkonkoma Office Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
