Controller / Accounting Manager (Insurance experience required) Boca Raton - Criterion Executive Search

We are seeking a skilled Controller/Assistant Controller with insurance industry experience to join our team. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, from managing insurance payables and vendor payables to handling cash receipts, direct bill posting, general ledger, and month-end close processes, primarily using the EPIC system. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic work environment and can work effectively either in the office or remotely.
 

• Manage insurance payables, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Oversee vendor payables, maintaining strong relationships with key vendors.
• Handle receipts, reconciling payments efficiently.
• Perform direct bill posting
• Maintain the general ledger with precision and attention to detail.
• Contribute to the month-end close process, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
• Utilize EPIC software for various financial and accounting tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve financial objectives.

 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in insurance industry financial roles.
• Strong proficiency with EPIC or similar insurance software.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

 
Work Environment: Hybrid work arrangement, two days in the office per week. We will consider 100% remote work for exceptional candidates.
