Job Summary:
Essential Functions:
- Support all functions of import CHB process from file creation to cargo delivery.
- Manage logistics and transportation issues to customers' satisfaction.
- Identify time or cost constrained shipments are managed to customer's satisfaction.
- Monitor trends in daily activities.
- Provide root cause and corrective action investigations to operational processes to minimize supply chain disruptions and identify opportunities for cost-saving / value creation.
- Liaise with the customer, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the import process is lean and bottlenecks or performance issues are addressed.
- Provide analytics-based approach to operational metrics reporting and process improvement.
- Provide overall management of vendors in the value chain and prepare comprehensive output based on the received data output from each party.
- Routinely follow-up with all carriers, agents, or contacts to ensure shipment delays are minimized.
- Assign and work directly with the contracted inland carrier.
- Publish the daily shipment visibility dashboard indicating shipments to KPI, highlighting delays, potential issues, and recommend actions to key business stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- The ideal candidate must have at least two (2) to three (3) years of operational experience.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics is a plus.
- Strong Excel Skills
- A college degree is preferred.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Good communication and organization skills and a strong attention to detail are required.
- The ability to work on a team and leadership experience is strongly desired.
- Candidate should have the ability to learn various computer programs.
