Studio Control Room Tech
The Studio Control Room Tech (CRT) is primarily responsible for filming and directing premium, world-class content for Echelon's Connect, Row, Reflect, Stride, and FitPass classes. The CRT has a deep understanding and passion for live production and live streaming. They are detail-oriented and strive for perfection. The CRT is also a technical resource to the rest of the team and assists with problem-solving initiatives. They are up to date on production hardware, software, and broadcast technology. A CRT is expected to work 5 shifts per week, one shift per day, including weekends. Shifts are typically either morning-to-afternoon or afternoon-to-evening.
CRT responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Open/close the studio as needed (shift-driven)
Live Edit classes (camera framing and cuts, audio fading and levels, display graphic overlays)
Troubleshoot and help solve software and hardware issues that occur during live and pre-tape productions
Create and add metadata into the backend admin system
Edit and upload classes to the On Demand platform
QA their own camera work, Instructor performances, Admin inputs, and class uploads for accuracy
Help maintain all hardware and software updates (including cameras, lights, etc.)
Help maintain the integrity of the picture (color temp, brightness, contrast, color saturation, framing, etc.)
Co-manage all media and data storage processes
Assist with various company-wide video initiatives (special programming)
Assist with stage equipment swaps (Connect Bike, Stride Treadmill, etc.)
Assist with basic stage equipment troubleshooting including adjustments
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the control room
Technical skills/requirements include the ability to become familiar with and operate:
PTZ Cameras
PTZ Controllers
Chroma Keying
Lighting
Wireless microphones, transmitters, and receivers
Livestream streaming platform
OBS
Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere, Media Encoder, and Photoshop
Windows, Mac OS, iOS, and Android
Google Suite including Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar, and Drive
Salary Range: $40,000-45,000
The pay range for this role is:
40,000 - 45,000 USD per year(Liberty Tower)
