Control Panel Fabrication & Wiring Technician This role involves building, wiring, and installing control panels for industrial equipment while adhering to industry standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabrication and Assembly: Assemble control panels and electrical components from blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Wiring: Execute precise wiring of control panels, ensuring secure connections per schematics.
• Component Installation: Install circuit breakers, relays, PLCs, transformers, and other components within panels.
• Testing and Troubleshooting: Test panels for functionality, identify issues, and troubleshoot electrical problems.
• Quality Control: Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality specifications such as NEC or UL.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of wiring diagrams, modifications, and testing outcomes.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience: 2-5 years in control panel fabrication and wiring within an industrial setting.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial control systems, including PLCs and motor controls.
• Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using electrical assembly tools (e.g., wire strippers, crimpers, drills).
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in wiring and assembly for safety and reliability.
• Problem-Solving: Strong skills in troubleshooting electrical issues.
• Communication: Effective verbal and written skills for documentation and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of industry standards like NEC, UL, and CE.
• Experience with PLC programming and VFDs is a plus.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience with AutoCAD; understanding of wiring diagrams and ladder logic is beneficial.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree or certification in Electrical Technology or Industrial Automation preferred.
