Job Title: Control-M Administrator
Location: Chicago, IL
Position Type: Contract 3 Months with possible extension
Work Status: US Citizen/Green Card/GC-EAD
Rate: DOE (W2 only)
The Control-M Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting a Control-M environment that will support multiple applications. Must be able to illustrate subject matter expertise in the workload automation space with a complete knowledge of the enterprise scheduler environment. Execute best practices to ensure high availability for the application environments. Responsible for delivering business automation improvements and maximizing the utilization of Enterprise Scheduling This individual will develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure consistent Control-M Best Practices that meets application performance and uptime requirements. The Control-M Administrator is also responsible for capacity planning, performance analysis, and developing business continuity recovery plans.
Additional Tasks:
Follow industry trends and software developments to assist in creating a roadmap for the Enterprise Scheduling group.
Administer and support Control-M production and testing environment
Ensure Service Level Agreements are met for business systems supported.
Follow up on production control issues from daily operations turnover report or ticketing system
Familiarity in managing within a SDLC/compliance framework.
Work closely with operations, application developers and project managers to develop scalable, maintainable, highly available scheduling environment that meets business objectives and relevant service-level agreements.
Perform capacity planning analysis and other needs assessments as requested by upper management.
Develop Real-time and Near-Real-Time local and remote replication solutions to support Disaster Recovery initiatives.
Required Skills:
10+ years Enterprise Scheduling experience
10+ years IT experience working within a Mainframe, Windows or Unix environment
Ability to be a technical interface between Project, Applications and infrastructure teams to provide innovative and efficient approach to management of the environment.
Excellent written and communication skills
Services oriented with a strong customer focus
Control-M installation and configuration.
Preferred Skills:
Control M Version 7 & 8 experience
Unix experience
Comfortable working with enterprise tools and technologies (such as WebLogic, DataStage/MDM, etc.)
Working experience in the Life Sciences industry
