About the Role
Our client specializes in electrical and mechanical repair, predictive and preventive maintenance, field services, and systems integration. They are an industrial control system integrator working with top OEMs and users to deliver cutting-edge solutions. As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you’ll take charge of full project execution—from system concept to commissioning—while also providing support for existing systems. This is your chance to work with leading technologies and showcase your expertise.
What You’ll Do
- Design electrical schematics and hardware with AutoCAD
- Select hardware in compliance with the National Electric Code and UL 508
- Support panel shop activities and ensure seamless panel builds
- Program Allen-Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk View HMIs, and VFDs (ABB & AB)
- Troubleshoot and modify systems, ensuring top-tier performance for customers
- Travel (~15%) to customer sites for project execution and support
- Collaborate closely with customers and team members, driving projects to success
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 1-2 years of experience in controls engineering, including PLC and HMI programming
- Knowledge of National Electric Code and UL 508 requirements
- Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively
- Willingness to travel and provide exceptional on-site support
