We are seeking a Contracts Paralegal (Specialist) to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in managing and drafting contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and providing support to our legal department. The position reports to Senior Corporate Counsel.
Responsibilities:
- Contract Management Support: Provide assistance in preliminary contract review under attorney guidance, oversee the company’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, including documentation and metadata, and establish CLM policies and procedures. Update and maintain standard form documents as required.
- Assistance in Real Estate Matters: Engage in initial assessments of lease agreements and contribute to the creation and upkeep of the company's real estate documentation database. Oversee the tracking of lease expirations and the renewal process.
- Claims and Risk Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders for investigative work on potential and active claims, contributing to the company’s broader risk management strategies.
- Comprehensive Legal Support: Work cross-functionally within the legal department to provide high-quality legal support to various business divisions as needed, aid in the development and upholding of company policies and procedures, and support the creation of risk management frameworks and controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Contracts Paralegal or a similar role in the legal industry.
- Extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Proficient in using contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
- Ability to travel domestically from time to time.
- Ability to work productively remotely/from home on a permanent basis.
