About the Job
This role will primarily focus on providing contracting support and counsel in connection with our client engagements. In addition to contracting support, this individual may also provide support on projects, including those related to contract management, contract templates, and related trainings and guides, as well as take on additional responsibilities on an “as-needed” basis.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and drafts, reviews, and negotiates a wide variety of commercial contracts (e.g., service agreements and confidentiality agreements) and supports assistant general counsel and/or associate general counsel in connection with client and/or third-party arrangements.
- Advises on commercial contracting requirements as well as legal contracting requirements (e.g., intellectual property rights, data privacy laws and requirements).
- Collaborates with team members to develop more effective and efficient ways to review and negotiate agreements or address new issues (e.g., master consulting agreements).
- Supports clients on contract-related issues in collaboration with or under the direction of other attorneys.
- Works with other members of the Department on projects in support of broader initiatives.
- Provides back up to attorneys on other contract-related responsibilities.

Ideal Candidate:
Experience Required
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited school with excellent academic credentials.
- Currently admitted and in good standing with a state bar in any jurisdiction.
- 0-3+ years’ experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts in a sophisticated environment.
- Procurement experience a plus.
