Job Title: Contracts Administrator I
Location: Reston, VA
Required Certification(s):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration or related field (additional training in contracts) required.
**Selected applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. **
- Prepare and revise contracts/subcontracts that involve the purchase of sale of goods and services.
- Knowledge of and work with various contract types, including but not limited to, T&M, FFP, CPAF, CPFF, ID/IQ and BPA.
- Oversee proposal planning and administration of contracts to include preparation and submission of pre-award documents.
- Negotiate terms and conditions in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and DFARS and Company goals and policy.
- Create subcontract request for proposals in support of prime contract solicitations and flow-downs.
- Perform price and cost analysis, resulting from negotiations price, cost-related terms and other subcontract provisions.
- Prepare and maintain subcontract files for internal reviews for Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) compliance.
- Prepare contract briefs and revisions summarizing contractual requirements and budgets.
- Track contract/ subcontract authorizations and correspondence.
- Prepare contract change notices, monitor contract performance, including the reporting and status of contract deliverables.
- Create, maintain detailed and organized files for each contract and/or subcontract which will include original contract award documents, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules.
- Prepare and disseminate contract/ subcontract information to appropriate Company departments regarding contract and relevant subcontract status, facilitate contract internal and external meetings.
- Reviews solicitation requests to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Perform close-out activities and support final cost reports as needed.
- Analyze and mitigate Agreement/ Bid/ Contract risks to Company.
- Provide audit support and assist in special projects as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration or related field (additional training in contracts) required.
- 3-5 years of related experience in contracts/subcontracts administration required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and (DFAR), Agency FAR supplements and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Ability to assist in preparing bids/ proposals; must have strong skills with Microsoft Suite (Word and Excel), and must have strong skills using Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Working Conditions
- Extended work hours as needed to complete assignments.
- Light – 20 lbs. Maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 10 lbs.
- A job is light if less lifting is involved but significant walking/standing is done or if done mostly sitting but requires push/pull on arm or leg controls.
