The Opportunity
Diode Ventures, a subsidiary of Black and Veatch, is currently seeking a Contracts & Administration Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background and experience in understanding project-related contracts, organizing project specifics, electronic filing, submitting expense reports and coordinating calendars. This candidate will function as an individual performer and report directly to the Administrative Manager.
Key Responsibilities
+ In addition to duties performed as a Contracts & Administration Assistant:
+ Creates, maintains, and finalized bidder lists for complex projects, including major equipment procurement
+ Verifies bidder experience information
+ Develops and maintains project log of change orders
+ Reviews specifications for conformance to project procurement standards
+ Prepares contract payment certificates
+ Performs complex expediting duties
+ Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements
Management Responsibilities

+ Experience with legal contract language
+ Ability to be persistent and follow-up with both internal and external clients
+ Experience with project contract administration
+ Basic Microsoft Office skills
+ Spelling and grammar skills
+ Attention to Detail
+ Customer Service Focus
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years' experience performing duties comparable to those of a Contract Administrator 3. Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
