HHS Patient Transport & Valet Services
Moving patients throughout the hospital is a vital component of day-to-day operations at any hospital facility, and it can significantly impact the experience of patients and their perception of the quality of care they receive. We approach patient transportation and valet services with a focus on safety and hospitality, and we use our proprietary Bed Watch Transport Control program to increase operational efficiency and minimize unnecessary downtime.
Job Summary
The patient transporter is responsible for transporting patients and patient-related equipment within the facility contracted with HHS. The patient transporter plays a very important role in setting high standards. These standards include cooperation, patience, communication, and a willingness to work as a team with nursing, medical staff, and all other hospital departments. The patient transporter must be committed to continuing education required by the hospital and HHS to upgrade skills. Due to the nature of the hospital environment, potential exposure to communicable diseases and safety hazards exist on the job. To prevent injuries and the risk of infection, strict safety and infection control procedures must be followed at all times.
Job Requirements
High-school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience with patient transportation, equipment maintenance, or other patient-care-related
activities preferred.
CPR (American Heart Association).
