Are you ready to lead impactful negotiations and shape the future of our information technology and telecommunications contracts? We are seeking a dynamic Contract Manager to ensure our client's contractual obligations are met and optimized for success.
About the Role:
As our client's Contract Manager, your primary objective will be to implement and oversee a robust contractual process, ensuring alignment with our IT and telecommunications service providers. You will manage the development, negotiation, and implementation of major technology contracts, leveraging spend efficiency and enhancing supplier relationships. Your role will also encompass handling emergent project work critical to our operations and maintaining continuity of supply for key materials and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer contracts for IT projects, including change orders, warranty claims, contractor performance assessments, dispute resolution, and safeguarding contractual rights.
- Develop innovative contracting strategies, define scopes of work, and assess contractor capabilities for contracts ranging from $1.5M to $10M.
- Lead commercial negotiations and provide matrixed support to Project Managers across the organization.
- Collaborate closely with technology and telecommunications firms to ensure contractual obligations such as warranties and ownership transfers are upheld.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.)
- 6-10 years of experience in large contract management, specifically within IT and telecommunications services.
- Strong understanding of technology and telecommunications projects, scheduling, and contract administration.
- Proven ability in assessing contractual risk, implementing risk management strategies, and negotiating favorable terms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, essential for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
Desired Skills:
- JD or paralegal experience, advantageous for complex negotiations and legal understanding.
