Job Purpose:
Supports operating units by implementing human resources programs; solving performance problems and assists with payroll processing and timekeeping.

Supports operating units by implementing human resources programs; solving performance problems and assists with payroll processing and timekeeping.
Duties:
- Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data to include garnishments, vacation time, sick time, insurance and 401(k) deductions. Utilizes automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Reviews electronic time clock for completeness and accuracy and contacts various department supervisors for missed time and inaccurate pay code entries.
- Prepares bi-weekly payroll.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Handles employee relations issues, appropriately referring them to senior management
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educ/exp. in human resources operations or related field. Minimum of at least 2 years of experience with Payroll systems and related software programs.
Salary
27 - 30 /hour
