Job Details
Our manufacturing company is seeking a Controls Engineer/Technician with experience in maintaining machine control systems, PLC programming, and troubleshooting automated systems. Additionally, this role will perform any other tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot machine control systems to ensure optimum performance
- Develop and implement PLC programs for new and existing machines
- Work with production team to identify and resolve machine issues
- Interface with TCP/IP networks to ensure seamless communication between machines
- Develop and implement RFID tracking devices to improve machine diagnostics and tracking
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and increase machine longevity
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline AND/OR 3+ years of hands on experience with automation, PLCs, or overall controls systems.
- 3+ years of experience in maintaining machine control systems and PLC programming
- Strong background in troubleshooting automated systems
- Experience working with TCP/IP networks and RFID tracking devices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
