Contracts Specialist (Level II)
Anacostia, DC (JBAB)
Pay: $135,000/yr+
MUST:
Active TS/SCI required
Experienced Contract Specialist
4 – 7 years of developing acquisition strategies
4 – 7 years including determination of contract method/type; performing contract administration, including but not limited to maintaining contract file folders and preparing contract modifications
4 - 7 years of market research, solicitation docs, (pre and post award), reviewing proposals and doing cost/price analyst
4 - 7 years of cradle-to-grace contract support
4 - 7 years Supporting the Contracting Officer to develop acquisition strategies
Bachelor's degree is required; Masters Preferred
DUTIES:
Work with the Contracting Officer in planning and managing acquisitions for a variety of products and services for the contracts division
Provide cradle-to-grave contract support, such as conducting market research, preparing solicitation documentation (pre and post-award), reviewing proposals for compliance, performing cost/price evaluations, assisting with negotiating positions, reviewing, and processing invoices
Support the integration of acquisition planning, requirements development, and resourcing into executable project plans, synchronized with program objectives and strategic vision
Ensure consistency across acquisition documentation
Facilitate program execution and decision-making
Works with the Contracting Officer in developing acquisition strategies, including determination of contract method/type; performing contract administration, including but not limited to maintaining contract file folders and preparing contract modifications
Work with the Contracting Officer in the oversight of contract performance
Assist in communicating project status and issues, and developing acquisition and policy recommendations
