Job Description:
- Collaborate with multiple departments including Contracts, Compliance, Quotations, Inside Sales and Project Management to ensure final executed terms and conditions align with previously negotiated contract positions.
- Assist with the review of contract terms and conditions to verify compliance with Bray company policies.
- Maintain a database for each contract which will include all documents and correspondence related to the final executed contract.
- Review and audit contract review documents.
- Self-monitor progress to submit documents and comments in a timely manner.
- Support leadership by completing vendor/supplier questionnaires and/or registrations regarding the company, its operations and procedures.
- Act as administrator of the System for Award Management (SAM) with the U.S. Government.
- Coordinate with Bray freight forwarders & U.S. Customs to ensure the proper entry of material imported into the U.S.
- Collaborate with purchasing group, logistics, and suppliers to ensure document packages are complete prior to import into the U.S.
- Classify Bray items within the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
- Respond to daily classification inquiries from logistics and freight forwarding companies.
- Manage Bray's HTS code database, contract authorizations, and correspondence.
- Audit import entries for accuracy; advise freight forwarders of any post-summary corrections and track status with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
- Assist with duty drawback (recovery of tariffs); pull and compile import data as requested.
- Manage and maintain global repository for Bray contracts and trade compliance.
- Provide support to Bray's Contract Review and Compliance group in areas related to document control and trade regulations.
- Support Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the general scope of the foregoing duties.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- One (1) professional experience in a similar role for a manufacturing enterprise is a plus.
- Experience in Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification of products.
- Experience working with freight forwarders, transportation/logistics, U.S. Customs.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve client concerns.
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Great organization skills and the ability to multitask on several project simultaneously with necessary attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Communication and cross-functional collaboration.
