Contract Binding Underwriting Manager - South Bay Search

Growing Wholesale Brokerage and MGA seeking a Contract Binding Underwriting Manager in Stockton. 

Under the direction of the Head of Contract Binding, and other assigned supervisor work directly with multiple of our carrier partners to shop, approve, the risk, and underwrite new and renewal policies. You will partner with our agents and carrier to find the best product to meet the end customer’s needs

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage a team of underwriters, help them to make appropriate underwriting decisions covering multiple lines of business, and design ongoing training and development programs for the underwriting teamReview insurance policy submissions and determine ability to underwriter and price new and renewal business, and present quotes to the agent.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Five to fifteen years related commercial P&C insurance underwriting, business development or management.
• Ideal excess and surplus lines background or standard P&C carrier experience
• Someone who has commercial experience or ready for the next step in their career in leadership.

** Must travel to Stockton office 2-3x per week
