We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Contract Attorney with a focus on workers' compensation defense to assist with overflow work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation law and experience handling briefs, hearings, and case management. This position is designed to support our team by handling a high volume of briefs, hearings, and case-related tasks.
**Responsibilities:**
- Draft, review, and file legal briefs, motions, and other legal documents related to workers' compensation defense cases.
- Represent clients at administrative hearings and settlement conferences.
- Assist in preparing for depositions, trials, and mediations.
- Review case files, analyze medical records, and provide legal opinions on claims.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys, adjusters, and clients to develop case strategies.
- Manage and prioritize multiple cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients and stakeholders.
**Qualifications:**
- Active license to practice law in California.
- 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
- Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and regulations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle high-volume work under tight deadlines.
