Contract Attorney – Professional Conduct & Ethics Investigations
OpusLex Partners seeks a Contract Litigation Attorney to support the professional conduct and ethics investigations team of a non-profit organization. This role is a great fit for attorneys with 2-8 years of experience who are looking to gain hands-on experience in ethics and professional standards within the legal field. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), in-office role located in metro Atlanta.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the initial screening process for attorney grievance cases, ensuring alignment with ethical standards and guidelines.
- Conduct thorough reviews and investigations of complaints, collaborating with relevant parties to gather comprehensive case details.
- Analyze case evidence to determine appropriate next steps, whether that’s advancing the case or recommending dismissal.
- Coordinate closely with investigators and team members to effectively manage caseloads, ensuring each case is processed efficiently and accurately.
Key Qualifications:
- 2-8 years of legal experience, preferably with exposure to litigation, defense, or administrative proceedings.
- Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and professionally.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree with an active bar membership.
