Contract Administrator/Jr. Paralegal - The Fountain Group

Job Description:

• Pay is $30 per hour.
• 2- month assignment for medical leave coverage with the potential to extend based on need and performance.
• This role supports the Business & Legal Affairs department of UMG’s busy and exciting merchandising division, Bravado.
• Assist supervisor and legal team with administrative duties, scheduling, expense reports, etc.
• Prepare first drafts of contracts and documents from existing templates.
• Review third party comments on such contracts and documents for supervisor signoff.
• Keep track of status updates in existing tracking systems (especially Monday.com).
• Data entry.
• File organization.
• DocuSign.
• Provide reporting and updates to legal team from existing tracking systems.

• Follow up on assignments until completion.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and is resourceful; takes ownership of tasks and projects.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to interact with outside attorneys and executive management.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments, work well under pressure.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
• College degree, paralegal certificate a plus.
• At least two years proven work experience as a Paralegal, Contract Administrator, Contract Manager, or Administrator.
• Extremely detail-oriented, with an ability to spot errors.
• Familiarity with Apple computers and software, mastery of Word, Excel, Monday.com, and Preview/Adobe is highly desired.
• Solid research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Organizes own work, coordinating projects, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and following up on assignments with a minimum of direction.
• Dedicated team player.
• Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts.
• Familiarity with copyright and trademark laws.
• Familiarity with brand licensing and royalty accounting procedures is preferred.
• Music industry knowledge is a bonus.
