Job Description:
- Pay is $30 per hour.
- 2- month assignment for medical leave coverage with the potential to extend based on need and performance.
- This role supports the Business & Legal Affairs department of UMG’s busy and exciting merchandising division, Bravado.
- Assist supervisor and legal team with administrative duties, scheduling, expense reports, etc.
- Prepare first drafts of contracts and documents from existing templates.
- Review third party comments on such contracts and documents for supervisor signoff.
- Keep track of status updates in existing tracking systems (especially Monday.com).
- Data entry.
- File organization.
- DocuSign.
- Provide reporting and updates to legal team from existing tracking systems.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor and good judgment.
- Follow up on assignments until completion.
- Self-starter who takes initiative and is resourceful; takes ownership of tasks and projects.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to interact with outside attorneys and executive management.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments, work well under pressure.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
- College degree, paralegal certificate a plus.
- At least two years proven work experience as a Paralegal, Contract Administrator, Contract Manager, or Administrator.
- Extremely detail-oriented, with an ability to spot errors.
- Familiarity with Apple computers and software, mastery of Word, Excel, Monday.com, and Preview/Adobe is highly desired.
- Solid research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Organizes own work, coordinating projects, setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and following up on assignments with a minimum of direction.
- Dedicated team player.
- Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts.
- Familiarity with copyright and trademark laws.
- Familiarity with brand licensing and royalty accounting procedures is preferred.
- Music industry knowledge is a bonus.
