As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Driving financial improvement across the site/organization.

• Collaborating with front-line employees, support teams, department/function, supervisors/managers and operations leaders to determine goals, direction, and approaches for improvement.
• Working with site/organization leadership team to determine approach and strategy for achieving operational and financial objectives.
• Initiating, aligning, and (where needed) leading projects and project planning to achieve CI objectives 'Project' savings and ‘actual vs baseline’ COGS, Cash and Growth improvements
• Teaching, mentoring and developing others (e.g. peers, supervisors, managers) in their ability to establish Continuous Improvement as a primary mechanism to improving financial and operational performance in their work centers, departments or areas
• Consistently seeking, sharing, and implementing best practices

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a science, engineering, or planning discipline from an accredited institution
• Prior experience participating in Green Belt Projects and/or Green Belt Certification
• Effective facilitation, communication and teaching skills
• Demonstrated experience in Project Management, DMAIC, and Lean

• Effective facilitation, communication and teaching skills

Work location: On-site at Springfield, MO

Travel: May include up to 15% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $137,439 - $167,981, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
