The Content and Social Media Manager offers an exciting opportunity to join the Travel & Membership team, overseeing both creative campaign development and the strategic execution of social media initiatives. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of content strategy and social media for Travel & Membership brands. Responsibilities include developing a quarterly content strategy focused on inventory and product optimization and executing social media marketing campaigns across all channels to ensure brand consistency.
The manager will contribute to the company’s overarching social media strategy facilitate social media engagement activities and monitor campaign performance in collaboration with functional teams. This role requires close cooperation with other marketing functions, revenue management, communications, digital teams, and business partners to streamline and enhance social media marketing efforts.
How You'll Shine:
- Lead the development of quarterly themes and content creation to support the commercial goals of the Travel & Membership brands. Utilize editorial content from the RCI magazine to build on-trend concepts that promote destination and resort-specific travel.
- Oversee the social media strategy and execute ongoing marketing activities, ensuring alignment with editorial and promotional calendars. Manage the delivery of content across various social media channels.
- Monitor and respond to reviews, comments, and inquiries to support the organization’s reputation management efforts.
- Champions influencer strategy to amplify campaign reach, build credibility within our community clubs and drive conversions.
- Capture and edit photos and videos to enhance the organization’s online brand presence and social media. Create and curate visual assets to complement social media and digital content.
- Manages the social media budget, reviews expenses and monthly allocations with finance.
- Deliver social media performance reporting, emphasizing campaign metrics and key performance indicators. Monitor trends and new social media opportunities, using performance data to inform and execute new campaigns.
Travel Requirements
- Minimal domestic travel to work with business partners, educational and industry/ technology conferences.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor of Science / Arts degree in marketing, business, communications or similar focus.
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in communications, marketing or advertising roles
- Deep understanding of Social Media platforms, capabilities and social media management tools
- Strong written communication skills with a creative flair
- Experience in using social media management tools, such as Sprinklr
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple social media platforms at once
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Basic Graphic design skills (e.g., canva, photoshop) for creating visually appealing posts.
- Self-starter with an interest in exploring new ways to drive activation and engagement effectively by using different tools and techniques in the online world
- Ability to build and leverage a strong network of peers and business and social media partners
- Ability to identify potential issues and resolve them before they impact production timelines
- Requires strong understanding of digital and Web tools and technologies such as email, mobile and social marketing applications.
- A basic understanding of HTML and common web application platforms
- Ability to establish measurements and success metrics where none currently exist
- Experience and strong knowledge in search engine optimization
- Experienced with Illustrator, Photoshop skills and other creative tools to develop content for social channels
- Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Google products and services including, but not limited to analytics, research, SEO
- Understanding of how the following platform algorithms work, and how to maximize engagement: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok and more
- Knowledge of or demonstrated experience with Social Media Management Systems and other social reporting/monitoring tools
- Experience in creative production & development
