The Content Optimization Specialist is responsible for ensuring the website's content is optimized for search engines, conversions, and user engagement. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive Search Engine Optimization strategies, content creation, and optimization to increase organic traffic, improve search engine rankings, and enhance user engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of healthcare topics, terminology, regulations, and compliance requirements. Essential Job Functions
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies tailored to the unique needs of the healthcare industry.
- Conduct extensive keyword research to identify high-value, relevant keywords related to healthcare services, conditions, treatments, and topics.
- Optimize website structure, content, and metadata to ensure optimal search engine indexing.
- Implement on-page SEO best practices, including optimizing title tags, meta descriptions, heading tags, and schema markup.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance, making data-driven adjustments to improve rankings and traffic.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and algorithm updates impacting SEO, adjusting strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Develop high-quality, engaging content that aligns with the overall content strategy and business goals.
- Edit and refine existing content to ensure it is optimized for SEO and user experience.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and content creators to develop content that educates, informs, and engages our target audience while adhering to industry regulations and guidelines.
- Coordinate with graphic designers, videographers, and other content creators to produce multimedia content.
- Leverage AI-driven insights for content creation, user behavior analysis, and on-page SEO to stay ahead of algorithm updates and competitors.
- Collaborating with the performance and technology team, monitor and analyze website and SEO performance.
- Conduct regular A/B testing to optimize content layout, format, and messaging.
- Provide regular reports and insights on SEO and content performance metrics to the Assistant Director of Website Operations.
- Provide recommendations for website changes to the WebDev team to improve SEO performance and user experience.
- Review and suggest improvements to the website's technical aspects, including site map, URL structures, and page load speeds.
- Conduct UAT for new content and website features to ensure they meet SEO requirements and quality standards.
- Report and track any issues identified during UAT, working closely with the WebDev team to resolve them before deployment.
- Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content aligned with the latest keyword trends, search intent, and user experience best practices.
- Provide SEO insights and recommendations to cross-functional teams, including healthcare providers, marketers, and content creators, to support overall digital marketing initiatives and patient engagement efforts.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SEO, preferably within the healthcare industry
- Deep understanding of healthcare-related topics, terminology, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, or similar platforms
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful SEO strategies and tactics
- Strong analytical skills to monitor performance metrics and derive actionable insights
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous learning and staying updated on healthcare SEO best practices, industry trends, and regulatory changes
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced healthcare environment while adhering to strict deadlines and quality standards
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with experience in creating SEO-friendly content
- Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities
