MARKETING/PUBLIC RELATIONS SPECIALIST
SUMMARY:
Brayman Construction Corporation is a leading heavy civil and geotechnical contractor with office headquarters in suburban Pittsburgh. Incorporated in 1947, Brayman has grown, diversified and evolved its construction services from a small bridge and concrete company to a large, nationally recognized provider of complex, heavy civil construction projects servicing both public and private sector clients. The Company has expertise in a wide variety of projects including large scale complex bridges, deep foundation, marine and dam construction and rehabilitation, complex and heavy steel erection and rehabilitation, and demolition services.
The Company and its various Affiliates, including a recently launched robotics & AI company, seek a top-performing professional who will understand business priorities, think creatively to define strategy, implement with an eye on detail, and showcase results and progress.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is detail-oriented, focused and organized. S/he will be responsible for executing effective public relations & marketing/communication strategies in addition to assisting with the application of graphic design principles in support of a multi-entity business environment. S/he will contribute towards the design, development and maintenance of creative assets using industry standard design software in a hands-on, fast-paced, results-focused marketing department tasked with driving the growth of numerous brands.
Responsibilities (varying):
Public Relations:
- Responsible for creation of press releases, articles for industry publications as well as e-marketing campaigns, website news and social media posts
- Ability to maintain a consistent voice and style as applicable to various target markets and audiences across all platforms
- Responsible for curation of company's public image related to the construction and robotics industries
- Maintain media/press list while developing relationships with technical writers as appropriate
- Receiving and coordinating response to press inquiries as well as other key stakeholders or foreign inquiries
- Securing speaking engagements and coordination of conferences & expos
- Recommend and prepare award submittal packages
Digital/Electronic Design:
- Responsible for website development, design, and content while maintaining consistent voice and style with special attention to timeliness of company updates to the public
- Monitoring Google Analytics and refining external communications approach for highest impact and visibility
- Creating internal employee communications in relation to web analytics, E-news posts, E-blast campaigns
- Executing external communications in relation to social media posts
- Ability to edit video assets and photography
- Obtaining and maintaining a positive relationship with all external vendors
- Tech Savvy: social media savvy-must be able to utilize Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
Graphic/Print Design:
- Responsible for all collateral, signage, handouts and newsletter production with strong emphasis on the communication piece of production while maintaining consistency of voice and style
- Creation of logos, letterhead, business cards, collateral, posters, flyers, stickers, advertisement artwork, decals, signage
- Responsible for ordering apparel & swag
Other Responsibilities:
- Creating content with the strong ability to write creatively
- Previous experience in coordination of trade shows a plus
- Must be aware of the principles of branding, online presence and be able to maintain that consistent voice in regards to the company
- Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to work within tight deadlines
- Perform quality control checks on new and existing documents and designs to ensure compliance with brand standards
- Maintain current approved verbiage and content as well as archived files
- Organize and triage priorities for weekly sales/marketing meeting
Other Skills/Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills
- Must be energetic, fun and creative with the ability to take direction within a team environment
- Ability to work individually on self-driven projects
- Demonstrated design skills with respect to print/digital marketing materials
- Expertise in Adobe CC applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat are a must)
- Expertise in various social media platforms as well as e-mail marketing software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including OneNote
- Fluency in other languages a plus but not a requirement
- Ability & willingness to travel a plus (up to 15% of time)
Educational Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism or other related field of study
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing communications, marketing, corporate communications, public relations, media relations, brand marketing, or related field
- Business or communications experience in a similar organizational setting preferred.
