We currently operate a robust network of three medical dispensaries within Iowa, alongside a medical cannabis manufacturing facility. The Content Marketing Coordinator at Iowa Cannabis Company will play a pivotal role in driving our marketing efforts forward. Working within a dynamic and fast-paced team, the coordinator will be responsible for crafting compelling copy, managing social media channels, and overseeing the ideas and creation of content throughout our manufacturing facility and retail stores. This role requires a keen understanding of marketing principles, exceptional communication skills, and a creative mindset.
Essential Functions:
- Develop engaging written content for various marketing materials, including website copy, blog posts, social media posts, and email newsletters.
- Manage and curate content across social media platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging and engaging with our online community.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify content needs and opportunities within the company, and effectively communicate these to the target audience.
- Assist in the creation of marketing collateral such as brochures, flyers, and presentations, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and messaging.
- Analyze content performance metrics and provide insights to optimize future content strategies and campaigns.
- Write and edit engaging and high-quality content for various platforms including websites, blogs, social media, emails and print materials.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create content that aligns with brand messaging and objectives.
- Coordinate content creation and distribution across multiple channels, including digital and traditional media.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure content is accurate, compliant and reflects brand values.
- Develop creative campaigns and initiatives to promote products and events.
- Generate ideas for content that educates, entertains, and engages target audiences.
- Manage content calendar and schedule ensuring deadlines are met and content is published on time.
- Identify and leverage content opportunities for SEO and organic growth.
- Drive engagement through community management and responding to comments and messages.
- Maintain brand consistency and tone across all content touchpoints.
- Attend community outreach events and conferences to gather content and network.
- Work closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure all content meets regulatory requirements.
- Measure and report on content performance regularly, providing insights for improvement.
- Stay up to date on marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Develop content for product launches, promotions, and campaigns.
- Implement content optimization strategies for search engines and social media platforms.
- Coordinate with product development teams to ensure content aligns with product features and benefits.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to create content that supports their efforts.
- Create storytelling content to connect with customers emotionally and build brand loyalty.
- Implement content localization strategies to reach diverse audiences.
- Develop content for packaging, labels and product descriptions.
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify content gaps and opportunities.
- Utilize analytics tools to track content performance to assist stakeholders in making data-driven decisions.
- Monitor and respond to industry trends and news to inform content strategy.
- Maintain a content library and archive for easy access and reuse of assets.
- Implement content syndication and distribution strategies to reach wider audiences.
- Develop content partnerships and sponsorships to expand reach and engagement.
- Ensure all content is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry regulations.
- Support in-store promotions and events with relevant content and marketing materials.
- Ability to work 40 hours a week.

Working Conditions:
- Job duties may include work indoors and outdoors during all seasons, 365 days/year.
- Employees may be exposed to difficult or stressful vendor, customer, or employee situations requiring patience and professionalism to effectively handle.
- Work duties may require sedentary activities, active standing, stooping and/or kneeling.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to sit and/or stand at workstation for up to eight hours per day
- Must be able to proficiently operate computers, tablets and other productivity machinery and technology
- Must be able to reliably arrive at work on time for scheduled shifts
- Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute
- Must be able to move about the corporate offices, as needed, to perform required functions
- Must be able to remain in a designated work area for up to eight hours per day with the exception of breaks as required by law
- Must be able to effectively communicate information and ideas so customers, vendors and coworkers will understand. Must be able to convey and exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Must be able to continue to assist vendors and coworkers during and after stressful situations
- Must be able to accurately observe details at close range in order to recognize, identify, detect, determine and assess objects
- Must be able to effectively communicate information displayed on digital screens
- Must be able to perform other job duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in copywriting and content creation with demonstrated experience in crafting compelling marketing materials.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and experience in managing social media accounts for businesses.
- Comfortable working around cannabis and in a highly controlled environment with the ability to translate technical information into engaging content.
- Basic understanding of design principles and experience working with design software/tools.
- Previous experience in a marketing role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
- Entry to mid-level experience in marketing with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office or Google Suite
- Required to adhere to and uphold all regulatory mandates for employment in the cannabis industry
- Demonstrate the ability to absorb training and consistently follow instructions
- Possess strong communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively
- Successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Must have a GED or High School Diploma
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Must maintain a high level of customer service
- Ability to organize and prioritize necessary tasks in order to accomplish goals

- Pay starts at $40,000 - $60,000 Annual

This law also allows patients and designated primary caregivers to possess cannabidiol and requires the recommendation of a board certified physician.
