POSITION SUMMARY:
Job Description
The primary responsibility for the WW/US Medical Communications Manager is the development and execution of a comprehensive, globally aligned strategic WW/US medical publications and content plans to support the effective communication of data and launch for safe and effective use of Client medicines.
Develop and update WW/US medical content per clinical development program, publications, data presentations, congress activity, MI inquiry trends, global communication platform, product safety reports and treatment landscape.
Summary
• Analyzes and interprets scientific data to update or develop comprehensive, balanced, credible and accurate documents that comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidance and Client policies and procedures, and are used to appropriately communicate with healthcare providers and customers involved in healthcare or evidence-based healthcare decisions
• Manages and co-ordinates development and maintenance of Oncology product-related Standard Response Documents (medical information responses) to ensure availability of concise, comprehensive responses to the most frequently posed questions and to facilitate a rapid response to customer enquiries around the world
• Reviews medical content of specified Oncology assets for data accuracy and completion.
• Manages and prioritizes multiple projects, provides solutions to complex problems, and delivers complete and accurate information within deadlines
• Assists with the communication of the Oncology strategy related to healthcare providers, payers, access influencers, and healthcare decision makers.
• Evaluates and contributes to Medical Information processes for responding to unsolicited inquiries and provides training to internal and external matrix partners (e.g., Field HEOR, MSLs) on appropriate use of these processes
• Collaborates across the cross-matrix team to inform the development of Oncology content plans to address local market unmet medical needs.
• Develop Medical Contact Center training on disease state, product overview and relevant market events to ensure Contact Center's readiness to address customer inquiries.
• Collaborates closely with the Medical Customer Engagement and Contact Center, to inform on new content deliverables and consult on training/messaging for new scientific data.
• Contributes to departmental efforts to develop, implement or further improve processes and operations. This may involve non-clinical and non-product types of responsibilities such as systems/technology, quality assurance, writing policies and procedures.
• Maintains awareness of current industry practices that pertain to Medical Communications and Access Scientific Content
• Work with cross-functional teams on a worldwide level to ensure consistent messaging and communication of medical information and key messages.
• Support the global standardization of Medical content to streamline creation, distribution and curation of content while eliminating redundancies in resource utilization and deliverables.
• Ensure effective rollout and communication occurs, feedback loops are implemented, and continuous improvement opportunities are identified for content development
• Develops, maintains and enhances a high level of knowledge in the respective therapeutic area(s) to provide high quality medical communication support.
• Manage vendor agency partnership to drive planning and execution of local Market publication and content deliverables.
Job Requirements;
Required:
o PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent
o Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in clinical practice, pharmaceutical industry or medical communications agency (highly preferred).
o Ability to manage various projects, solve problems, deliver on commitments, and work with multidisciplinary teams.
o Proficiency in basic computer programs.
o Excellent scientific/medical written and verbal communication skills in local language and English.
This position is 100% on-site
Preferred:
o Experience in solid tumor oncology.
o Experience responding to unsolicited inquiries from health care professionals by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and providing specific clinical/scientific data.
o Understanding of the needs of health care professionals/payors and pharmaceutical industry regulations.
