The Role:
We are looking for a seasoned storyteller with a passion for financial markets.
Working within the content marketing team, the Content Creator acts as a champion for the customer, ensuring our content is aligned to the buyer’s persona and their familiarity of S&P Global Ratings. This role will produce engaging, lead-generative, quality marketing content that speaks to our audiences with a consistent brand voice across a range of channels, with focus on middle to bottom of the marketing funnel. They will work on campaign copy across all media, but have a high focus on digital copywriting, optimizing text for SEO discoverability, while maintaining S&P Global’s style/tone and creative copywriting approaches.
This role will provide copywriting and editing expertise to the wider marketing team and identify opportunities for new marketing content aligned to strategic business priorities, commercial themes, and market trends, including new content creation and maximizing the value of existing content.

The Team / The Business:
The Marketing team is a diverse, professional, and well-regarded team within S&P Global Ratings. The culture is inclusive and flexible, with expectations of high performance and accountability. The Marketing team has a variety of experience in Product, Campaign, Digital, and Events Marketing, creating a rich base of resource and knowledge for you to learn from and contribute to. Your colleagues in the Sales, Product, Market Outreach, Communications, Editorial, Analytical, and Research & Development teams have deep expertise in the capital and credit markets alongside focus areas including private markets, emerging markets, sustainable finance, and de-centralized finance.
You will also be exposed to a peer group of other content marketers and creators from the other S&P Global divisions to align, share best practice, and collaborate.
Once fully briefed on accountabilities and expectations, you will be given a high degree of independence with ongoing support and direction from the Head of Content Marketing.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $93,600 to $137,907. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Responsibilities:
+ Write and edit mid- to bottom-funnel content, including email campaigns, advertising campaigns, newsletters, case studies, video scripts, award submissions, product webpages, product brochures, and more.
+ Be able to utilize AI tools to enhance copywriting and adaptation of long-form copy
+ Act as an expert copywriter/editor for the wider marketing team. Champion brand voice and consistency across various formats.
+ Host regular copywriting training sessions. Keep abreast of the latest industry best practices, including the adoption of generative AI copywriting tools, and drive innovation across broader marketing team.
+ Enforce and apply SEO copywriting best practices, sub-editing, fact-checking, content optimization, formatting and meta-data for marketing content and materials.
+ Partner with the Research & Development/Analytical teams to generate new content marketing ideas that promote industry-related topics through integrated, thematic campaigns.
+ Map content to personas.
+ Understand the needs of the audience and the business at large and advise on effective value messaging across integrated marketing campaigns.
+ Adapt longer form copy into creative and innovative content types, optimized for all channels, including website, social media, newsletter/email, mobile, video, print, and in-person. Identify opportunities for improvement.
+ Ensure consistent global experience and work with regional marketing teams to implement appropriate localization/translation strategies.
+ Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure all copy is approved for external audiences.
What we 're looking for:
+ Employees in similar position within S&P Global typically comes with a minimum 5-7 years in copywriting or digital journalism experience.
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Journalism, Communications, English or related field preferred).
+ Experience in writing marketing copy that is customer focused and consistent in tone and style.
+ Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience with Adobe and Oktopost (overall website content management systems and social media scheduling tools) preferred but not essential.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
+ Ability to collaborate with others beyond one’s reporting line.
+ Hardworking with strong attention to detail.
+ Experience working in financial services desirable but not essential.
