SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Performs various duties relating to the processing of new, existing, and paid loans. Reconciles and disburses payments to vendors. Provides customers, loan officers, and other bank personnel with support and assistance relating to loan questions; and mails various statements and notices.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Performs various duties relating to the processing of new, existing, and paid loans:
- Basic review of loan documentation and understanding various loan types, i.e., lines of credit, term loans, investor loans, mortgages, etc.
- Enter information related to new loans and maintenance changes into loan system with appropriate documentation and approvals.
- Review and process Change in Terms documents to ensure the requested changes are updated on the system.
- Ensure new loan and maintenance system entries are submitted to second review within designated timeframes.
- Process loan payments and funds transfers.
- Manually post any exception or irregular payments including extensions as requested.
- Monitor department email boxes to process new loans, system maintenance and other requests within established time frames.
- Process periodic reports for Negative Escrow, perfected liens on vehicle secured loans, drafted payment rejects, unapplied funds, miscellaneous balance loans, Bridge Loans, etc.
- Create customer notification for End of Draw period letters on all HELOC and PELOC lines.
- Process paid loans and ensure collateral is released in a timely manner.
- Update vendor software for paid loans where life of loan tracking is no longer required.
- Review and monitor reports regarding investor loans and payments.
- Daily review of investor loan payments to FNMA.
- Utilize CORE system manuals and online Client Support for system knowledge.
- Utilize the Loan Servicing procedures manual for procedure and process information to complete work and provides information on process updates as applicable.
- Loan Application Reconcilements:
- Prepare appropriate end of day reconcilement packet for second review.
- Ensure established accuracy standards are met for new loans.
- Provides customers, loan officers, and other bank personnel with support and assistance relating to loan questions.
- Actively participate with phone calls and emails to resolve inquiries accurately and efficiently.
- Mails various statements and notices, including monthly billing statements, maturity notices, rate change notices, and escrow analysis.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Must possess strong oral communication skills (including excellent telephone etiquette); good math skills with high degree of accuracy; and strong analytical skills. Must have the ability to deal tactfully and efficiently with the public and other employees. Must be able to organize work and determine priorities. Must demonstrate proficiency in operating office equipment including personal computer, calculator, and fax machine. Proficiency or sufficient knowledge of word-processing and spreadsheet software required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
A high school diploma or equivalent with an emphasis in a business or accounting curriculum preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Entry-level position: previous Loan Operations experience is preferred but not required. However, previous experience with personal computers and office equipment is required.
