CONSUMER LOAN MANAGER – Palos Hills, IL
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Training/mentoring less experienced loan officers to utilize our LOS, as well as underwriting according to Loan Policy
- Understands and abides by consumer compliance regulations
- Assist with the development of new lending programs
- Explain loan programs to members, evaluate their needs and recommend product and service options
- Evaluate financial position, originate and underwrite consumer loans including vehicle, credit card, secured/unsecured and home equity loans
- Discuss the benefits of debt protection coverage, GAP and extended warranty options with members
- Ensure that title liens are perfected and insurance requirements are met
WHAT WE REQUIRE:
- Bachelor degree required
- A highly motivated individual, with at least 3 years lending experience that includes auto, home equity and unsecured lending
- Lending experience must include a strong background with home equity and/or conventional mortgages, FHA, VA & USDA loans
- Prior managerial experience is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills
- Exhibit strong relationship building skills, including initiating and maintaining trusting relationships with our members
- Must be registered with Nationwide Mortgage License System (NMLS) within 30 days of employment
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel)
