Job Summary and Qualifications
The Consulting Product Analyst position is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs of applications/products supported by the ITG REBA Product Development team. The individual would leverage analysis to recommend system and business process modifications to support business strategies through purchased or in-house developed software. Analyst must be able to write detailed description of business goals, user needs, computer program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs with minimal supervision. Position requires detail knowledge of requirements gathering and documentation practices, as well as software development methodologies
An analyst would communicate requirements to software developers and assures that the designed solution will meet business and user needs. Critical to the success of this position is a proven ability to work with and develop rapport with multiple business partners while resolving conflicts, developing project timelines, managing risks, and assisting in the development of quality assurance test plans and development of end user documentation.
Must work with project team of developers/QA analysts on features, enhancements, and fixes as required. Will serve as 2nd tier escalation point for issues related to system functionality. A background in What-if modeling or Managed Care contracts or revenue cycle is desired but not required.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirement Gathering and Documentation
Performs the set of tasks and techniques to understand the business needs of the department\organization.
Development and execution of requirements gathering process
Facilitate and document requirement gathering meetings with business users
Prioritize requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock-ups
Provide expertise in process design and provide leadership in communicating requirements to product development, testing, and education/training.
Support business requirements detailed documentation
Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality
Supports application training documentation creation
Direct quality measures for department deliverables
Participate in peer reviews of analyst work completed by team members
Build strong relationships within the department and company, including business owners
Participate in the day-to-day support and requirement gathering activities
Thoroughly understand assigned Business applications and user impact
What qualifications you will need:
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree -Preferred
RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE
7 or more years
OTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and/or knowledge Pricing Transparency initiative will be preferred but not required
SQL experience and proficiency
Strong relationship management skills
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Highly motivated and able to work independently with general supervision
Sense of responsibility and accountability; someone who takes ownership and initiative
The ability to think and act; decisiveness, assertiveness, with the ability to achieve results quickly

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Some travel will be required – 10% or less
