**Responsibilities**
Practice Leadership
o Create a practice-wide culture of Industry oriented delivery, developing organizational knowledge and skillsets that drive delivery efficiencies and innovate opportunities based on industry trends, delivery success and the application of IP.
o Lead and develop teams to deliver transformational consulting engagements in the context of a specific industry/ solution area.
o Collaborates across Microsoft organizational boundaries and within partner communities to fully integrate Industry assets to maximize customer business value and outcomes.
o Partner with leaders in your Area, Region, and across Industry Solutions Delivery organizational boundaries to ensure overall customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
o Durable Account Management: For assigned accounts, demonstrates leadership and full accountability for portfolio, account, customer relationship, and financial management in presales and delivery
People/Hiring
o Practice Building: As a leader of a service delivery practice, the Solution Area Practice Leader is responsible for building the organizational capability necessary to compete in the marketplace, creating exceptional customer experiences, and exemplifying Microsoft
Leadership Principles, inclusivity, and collaboration.
Delivery Governance
o Delivery Excellence: This role drives practice-wide continuous improvement rigor to increase organizational maturity and sets a high bar for delivery quality and architectural excellence. Resource orchestration, resource management, problem-solving across organizational boundaries, and mitigating risk are key Delivery Excellence responsibilities for this role.
Business Management
o Strategy: This role is accountable for executing against the business strategy within their practice. This includes establishing the necessary business rhythms and controls to achieve consumption, revenue, and operational targets.
o Practice Management accountability (Consumption, Revenue, Profitability, Delivery Health, Backlog, Resource Mix, Practice Utilization etc.)
Primary work hours are eastern time in the United States.

**Qualifications**
**Required/Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years relevant work experience
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 6+ years team leadership or people management experience either with or without direct reports.
+ 3+ years experience managing large/complex Federal Civilian contracts.
**Other Requirements**
Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under U.S. export control regulations, potentially under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations.? As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, U.S. permanent residency or other protected status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
Cloud Screening: Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.
Preferred Qualifications
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a United States Security Clearance.
+ 5+ years people management experience or team leadership with direct reports.
Consulting Practice Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,500 - $236,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,000 - $255,600 per year.
