We are seeking an experienced Public Sector Pension Actuary to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pension consulting and a deep understanding of public sector retirement systems. This role involves providing expert advice on pension funding, compliance, and investment strategies, ensuring that our clients meet their financial obligations while maintaining sustainability in their pension plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct actuarial valuations for public sector pension plans, analyzing funding status and compliance with regulations.
- Provide expert consulting services to clients on pension funding strategies, benefit design, and risk management.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, outlining valuation results and recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions tailored to client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices in pension management.
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in actuarial work, with a focus on public sector pensions.
- Strong knowledge of pension regulations and funding requirements in the public sector.
- Proficiency in actuarial software and modeling techniques.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Job Base Salary: $120K - $190K
