Construction Superintendent:

Essential functions may include the following tasks and initiatives of increasing skill and difficulty. This list is illustrative only and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions performed by positions in this class, nor does it list all duties that may be assigned.

• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, thus ensuring contracted work is fully executed and compliant.
• Identify non-compliance safety and jurisdictional variances, seek to amend, and resolve.
• Regularly visit and maintain status check ins of all active job sites for accurate progress reports.
• Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.
• Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
• Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
• Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.
• Opening the jobsite at the beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day.
• The Construction Super is responsible for the timely delivery of project delivery in accordance with planned outcomes.
• Able to efficiently manage a project from takeoff through commissioning with effective use of tools and resources available.
• Responsible for ongoing communication with leadership and teams regarding changes, potential delays, and solutions throughout the entirety of development.
• Collaborates effectively and proactively with project managers, internal stakeholders and teams to achieve best results throughout development.
• Hold regular site meetings to circulate new information, maintain a status pulse and stay in communication with all Subs and teams.
• Maintains OSHA records and requirements for all staff 

The education and experience listed below are preferred examples; applicants with a combination of experience and education are encouraged to apply.

• 4-year degree or 3+ years of qualified construction project management experience.
• Proven experience with leadership roles in prior positions.
• Experience in engineering, solar installation, community solar preferred.
• NY Construction Super Registration Preferred.
• Ground up experience is a plus.
• US Driver’s License – Required.
• Ability to travel regularly and consistently throughout the Northeast – Required
