Job Description
- Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and tasks to maintain seamless daily operations.
- Develop and manage project schedules, addressing delays to keep timelines on track.
- Oversee budget adherence, implementing cost-effective strategies without sacrificing quality or safety.
- Enforce compliance with OSHA standards and conduct regular site inspections to maintain safety.
- Act as the primary on-site contact for stakeholders, resolving issues and ensuring smooth communication.
- Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, progress updates, and change orders using tools like Procore.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5–10+ years of construction management or site supervision, preferably in wood-frame residential projects.
- Experience in historical restoration and redevelopment is preferred, as this project involves the restoration of four historic buildings.
- Skills: Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of podium construction techniques, materials, and safety protocols.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Competencies:
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes in Connecticut.
