Job Overview:
Our client is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. In this role, you will manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and extensive knowledge of construction processes. With our in-house architectural and engineering team, you'll experience a streamlined construction process with less paperwork and enhanced communication. You'll have the opportunity to provide valuable input on design and constructability, focusing on building projects rather than dealing with excessive documentation. Most of our projects are within a 45-minute radius of Milwaukee.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate and schedule activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Monitor progress and ensure projects adhere to established timelines.
- Conduct site inspections to maintain quality control and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with our in-house architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address any issues or conflicts during construction.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents.
- Utilize construction management software, such as Microsoft Project, to track progress and communicate updates.
Required Skills:
- Proven leadership abilities with strong supervisory skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to keep projects on track.
- Knowledge of budgeting and cost control principles.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Understanding of contract administration processes.
Compensation:
- Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per year, based on experience.
- Benefits: 401(k) with matching, dental insurance, health insurance, paid time off.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday.
- In-person work location.
Experience Level:
- Minimum of 8 years in a similar role.
