Superintendent Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Construction Superintendent with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing ground-up healthcare projects. This role requires a results-driven leader with an eye for detail, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Superintendent Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of construction, from groundbreaking to project completion, ensuring compliance with project plans, schedules, and specifications.
- Lead on-site construction teams, including subcontractors, to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.
- Maintain strict adherence to healthcare facility construction standards and regulations, including infection control and specialized infrastructure requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure project alignment.
- Conduct daily on-site inspections to monitor progress and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Manage project schedules, material orders, and subcontractor activities to avoid delays.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
Superintendent Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a superintendent managing ground-up healthcare construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare-specific construction codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., infection control measures, HVAC requirements, etc.).
- Proficient in project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction management tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
- OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety certifications are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Willingness to travel or relocate, depending on project location.
