Our client, a well-established general contracting and construction management firm, is seeking a Construction Superintendent to add to their growing team. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience in medical facility construction environments.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- The salary range for this position is approximately $70,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience (DOE). The salary for the position will be commensurate with the experience, skills, and qualifications that the candidate brings to the position.
- Candidates are eligible for medical and dental insurance 30 days after employment.
- Candidates are eligible to contribute to Simple IRA plan after 90 days of employment, whereby Riverstone matches dollar-for-dollar up to 3%.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
The Construction Superintendent serves as an on-site general contractor representative, skilled in holding trade partners accountable and seamlessly executing quality projects for clients.
- Proven experience working in high-touch environments, particularly in sensitive Class A office and medical settings. Patient-centered facilities often present a unique set of challenges, including stringent cleanliness protocols and heightened security measures.
- Expertise in implementing critical thinking and proactive planning strategies essential for managing specialized healthcare environments. Our client is committed to addressing the specific needs of these settings, ensuring a seamless integration of services, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of proactive communication and meticulous planning for fit-outs that require sensitivity to adjacent tenants and building owners. Successful candidates will show an ability to navigate these complex scenarios with careful coordination and respect for all parties involved.
- Ability to plan construction timelines that are aggressive yet achievable. This includes managing projects through constant communication, regular progress reports, organized documentation, and a structured approach to ensure deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards and client satisfaction.
- Ability to direct trade partners through proactive, collaborative, and professional communication and management methods. Our client values strong relationships with trade partners--an ideal candidate will respect and build upon those relationships to ensure mutual success.
- Expertise in technical aspects of construction. This includes the ability to analyze construction documents and drawings, scale and measure distances accurately, understand local building codes as they pertain to each jobsite, and provide accurate and reliable feedback related to constructability.
- Proven experience using technology such as Procore, Bluebeam, and the MS Office suite to streamline work tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma, or equivalent, required
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role or in the building trades required
- 3-5 years' experience in medical office building, ambulatory surgery center, and/or surgical suite construction strongly preferred.
- OSHA-30 certification required, or ability to become certified within a specified timeframe after hire.
- Must have and maintain a driving record that is acceptable to the auto insurance carrier
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site daily.
- Movement around the site will frequently require: standing, walking, climbing, and lifting.
- Administrative duties will frequently require: sitting at a desk for prolonged periods, using hands and fingers to work on a computer, handling documents, and moving objects.
- Must be able to talk, hear, and see to safely navigate the work site.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This is an on-site, full-time role.
- Typical jobsite hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, unless otherwise required to meet project schedule or building regulations.
- There will be occasional exposure to outdoor elements such as precipitation, wind, and varying temperatures.
- There will be occasional exposure to loud noises and hazardous conditions.
