Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Construction Superintendent.
The ideal candidate has 7 or more years of construction supervisory experience, with 3 or more of those years in construction relating to healthcare facilities, educational facilities, government owned properties, or historical projects within the metropolitan New York City area.
This position will be full-time, On-site, but have the ability to report to our Midtown Manhattan office, client office, and other Armand locations across New York, NY.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Managing the design/build process
- Oversees daily operations at a construction site.
- Developing project schedules and budgets
- Performing constructability reviews
- Managing the procurement process (both design and construction)
- Managing the requisition, cost tracking and change order process
- Proposing/evaluating value engineering
- Preparing phasing & logistics plans
- Works directly with the project manager, architect, engineer, electrician, and other specialists.
QUALIFICATIONS include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Minimum 7 years design and construction experience, with at least 3 of those years being in specialization of construction relating to healthcare facilities, educational facilities, government owned properties, or historical projects.
- A valid OSHA 30 or Site Safety Training (SST) Supervisor card is required.
- NYCDOB Construction Superintendent license preferred but not required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws on safety and environment and their application to construction.
- Ability to navigate project sites, which may include walking, climbing, and/or bending.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat)
- Experience with Procore, ProjectWise, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 and/or Revit a definite plus
- Driver's License preferred.
