Construction Site Manager

When you join Design Group as a Construction Site Manager II, you are joining a team that will challenge you and position you for growth. In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world's leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Construction Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.
What You'll Do
You'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.
- Work in collaboration with construction project managers, construction safety managers and site supervisors
- Assume responsibility for safe, high quality, timely, and cost-effective execution of on-site project work
- Plan, coordinate, and control construction resources and activities from inception to project close-out
- Supervise all on-site construction activities, including oversight of daily subcontractor work and coordination with owner's operations
- Ensure that all construction materials and methods conform to company, industry, and regulatory standards, specifications, and requirements
- Prepare daily reports and maintain anticipated project construction schedules and activities, review plans and specifications, conduct project coordination meetings and on-site safety inspections
- Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team
What You'll Bring
- A minimum of seven years of related experience as a construction site manager (10 years preferred)
- Five years of experience as construction site manager in industrial structures in the food, beverage, consumer products, pharmaceutical, or related industry (preferred)
- A record of successful completion of industrial projects with values ranging from $500K to $20M
- Project experience with piping systems and the ability to read P&IDs
- Pre-construction estimating experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project (preferred)
- Experience working within active operating manufacturing facilities (preferred)
- A willingness to relocate to the local area (relocation assistance may be available to highly qualified applicants)
- A willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
- Completion of OSHA 10- or 30-hour training
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction management, or related technical field is preferred, but equivalent experience as a construction site manager for large industrial or manufacturing structures can be substituted for a degree

- The approximate pay range for this position is $130K-$150K. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
