SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Construction Superintendent for its client in Phoenix, AZ / Santa Clara, CA / Chicago, IL locations. The person will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, a deep understanding of safety regulations, and the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of tradespeople. This role is essential in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Oversee day-to-day construction operations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
·Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
·Supervise and manage all on-site activities, including tradespeople, subcontractors, and suppliers.
·Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety and quality standards.
·Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
·Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for all site personnel.
·Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases of construction.
·Coordinate the delivery and availability of materials and equipment to avoid delays.
·Ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards and meets quality control requirements.
·Monitor project expenditures and assist in maintaining budgetary controls.
·Prepare progress reports and communicate status updates to management and stakeholders.
·Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and collaboration among all site personnel.
·Mentor and develop junior staff and tradespeople to enhance their skills and performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
·Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
·5+ years of experience in construction supervision or management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
·Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
·Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
·Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
·Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and construction documentation.
·Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
·Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork.
·OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
·Must have an active and valid driver’s license.
