Responsibilities
Preconstruction:
Review construction documents for constructability, means and methods, code compliance, permitting, building systems, and scheduling.
Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules from design development through substantial completion.
Develop and implement a construction management and logistics plan for efficient and safe operations with minimal urban neighborhood disruption.
Construction:
Oversee all daily site operations, ensuring alignment with design, budget, and schedule.
Supervise and coordinate all construction activities to maintain compliance with contract requirements, specifications, and safety standards.
Develop and maintain two-week lookahead schedules and update the master CPM schedule using Microsoft Project.
Manage milestone compliance to ensure timely project completion.
Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings to proactively identify and resolve challenges.
Generate and maintain daily reports and logs.
Schedule, supervise, and manage self-perform labor crews and material deliveries.
Lead inspections, punch list development, and the project closeout process.
Represent company values and standards in all professional interactions.
Qualifications
Experience:
Proven experience redeveloping brownstone buildings (Type III Construction) with complex structural, façade restoration, and high-end condominium fit-outs.
Minimum of five years as a lead superintendent, preferably in Boston.
Experience managing at least three projects as the lead superintendent.
Certifications & Licenses:
Massachusetts CSL required.
Boston ABC license preferred.
30-Hour OSHA Certification preferred; 10-Hour OSHA Certification required.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Procore, Microsoft Excel, and Bluebeam.
Knowledge of Microsoft Project Schedule preferred.
Attributes:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design documents.
Work Environment
This is an on-site position that involves active construction site leadership. Candidates must:
Be physically fit to climb scaffolding, stairs, and ladders frequently.
Work in outdoor environments with exposure to moderate-to-loud noise levels, temperature changes, and weather conditions.
Have strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for keyboard, telephone, and documentation tasks.
Possess strong vision (close, distance, depth perception) and the ability to adjust focus.
