POSITION OVERVIEW
Provides direction, instruction, and guidance to larger groups of employees in a functional sub-role, focused on achieving a common goal on a large scale, to include supervising crews, working with clients, architects, engineers, and coordinating with internal as well as external resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- As a working leader, responsible for Managing, directing, and working with labor crews in the construction of tensile membrane structures on the jobsite according to the scope of work.
- Perform hands-on instruction and training regarding job-related tasks.
- Directs and coordinates activities based on the direction of senior leaders.
- Ensures employees follow applicable health and safety programs, and safe work practices.
- Ensures employees adhere to company policies and rules. Participates in the disciplinary process by providing recommendations to management.
- Ensures employees have the tools, supplies, and materials needed to complete assigned tasks.
- Responding to internal inventory and logistics requests.
- Report problems to manager concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports, or exports.
- Oversee the unloading of Jobsite Deliveries.
- Assists with the planning and execution of project specific work plans and methodologies, as needed.
- Maintain records, contribute to Daily reports, Document Daily progress and assist in Daily time keeping.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with internal and external management teams.
- Champion safety in accordance with Enclos Tensile Structures Work Safe Home Safe practices and procedures.
- Assists with completion of Daily Huddles, Toolbox Talks, JHA's and Inspections, as directed.
- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of practical work experience in Steel Erection, Structural Cable handling, and/or Tensile membrane(PTFE/ETFE) installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience of principles and processes for providing supervision and leadership, with experience supervising and managing employees in a jobsite setting.
- Understanding of tolerance usage and quality standards.
- Ability to maintain a tactful, orderly working relationship with others.
- Ability to read and write English with excellent communication skills, follow verbal instructions, and use complex mathematics.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
- Excellent organization and management skills
- Proficiency with computer software to include MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Procore.
- Fall arrest competent person preferred.
- OSHA 30 Construction preferred.
- Rigging certificates preferred.
- Certificates in reach forklift, boom lift and scissor lift operation preferred.
- Experience in steel cable installations (handling and connection of tension members) preferred.
- Experience in crane hoisting, planning and operations preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
- Proven team leadership with ability to coordinate and assign work, provide performance feedback, and train team members.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee has constant exposure to an outdoor environment. They will be working at heights at times. They will have constant exposure to moderate noise. They must frequently stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee has constant use of both hands/fingers to grasp, pinch, pull, feel, or handle and manipulate parts and tools. They must constantly reach with both hands and arms; use both hands to manipulate, handle, or feel material. The employee will have frequent repetitive motions. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. The employee has constant requirement of specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus. They must constantly wear eye and ear protection while on the jobsite and in other designated areas. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the company.
