Construction Safety Specialist - Cleveland, Ohio - JOB 24-00873

Salary Range: $65K - $73K Permanent Position with Benefits

A Cleveland, Ohio area Construction Firm seeks an experienced Construction Safety Manager who is capable of ensuring that all employees follow the Company, Local, State and Federal safety regulations and guidelines. The Safety Manager will monitor the construction activities and identify & resolve potential hazards.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred Candidate would have a Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management and/or Registration as a Certified Safety Professional or similar form of licensure as a safety officer, OSHA Safety, Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST)
• Candidate must be familiar with Federal, State, and local Environmental Health & Safety regulations and OSHA standard practices and procedures in the construction industry in order to identify safety issues and make necessary improvements and develop corrective action plans.
• Candidate is expected to keep records of incidents and accidents, investigate accidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
• Candidate shall conduct Safety Meetings, implement safety training programs and assess subcontractor safety programs for completeness and compliance with company policies.
• Candidate will gather Pre-Task Plans and Job Hazard Analyses for contractors based on requirements, maintain safety records (PTPs, JHA's, training records, toolbox meetings, OSHA log, MSDS, incident investigations and metrics).
• Candidate shall conduct project site safety audits and work area inspections and developed inspection summaries.

Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
